Dan Vos Construction Company’s new 18,000-square-foot, two-story facility will give the Ada-based firm much needed room to grow. This new facility is built directly behind their old one-story headquarters and office building. As a Design-Build firm, they were able to visualize themselves as their own client and follow through with the facility from initial concept through to completion. The two-story office features steel and insulated metal panel construction with an open central hospitality area featuring custom polished concrete floors. The office design includes both open and private offices that maximize natural light.
The polished concrete floors shine throughout, with zero-transition to other flooring types. Burgess Concrete placed and polished the floors utilizing a custom Artevia Polish mix design from Consumers Concrete. A number of wood and steel elements were incorporated throughout the new office to create wall backdrops, custom tables, islands, and collaboration spaces. After moving into the beautiful new space, the old building was recycled, and some items were donated to employees and non-profits, while the empty building served the Ada Fire Department as a drill exercise training site prior to demolition.
